Bombus Tee

The Bombus Tee uses simple knit stitch combinations for unique textures! Perfect for a spring or summer day, or as a layering piece in winter, this tee has gorgeous drape and breathability with a totally unique look. The best part? NO PURLING!

This top is a great introduction to short row knitting. However, if you do not feel comfortable working short rows, you can work the back panel twice instead.

The Bombus Tee is constructed using medium, category 4 (aran weight) cotton yarn. Note that cotton yarn shrinks somewhat upon first washing, so the fit of your garment will change slightly when washed (recommended before first wear).

If you want to use a non-cotton yarn that does not shrink, or if you are between sizes, consider sizing down.

Sizes: XS (S, M, L, XL) (2XL, 3XL, 4XL, 5XL)
Bust sizes: 30” (34”, 38”, 42”, 46”) (50”, 54”, 58”, 62”)
Ease: positive ease of approx. 2-4" built in on top of bust size (finished garment will measure 2-4" larger than bust size)

Difficulty: easy

Model is 5’7” with a 39” bust wearing the Medium (40” finished garment size).

Circumnutation Top

Elegant and simple, the Circumnutation Top is easier to make than it looks, and even easier to wear. This pattern gives you a lovely, light knit top that’s as appropriate for the office as a night on the town! It is named for the process in which a plant will move in circles, especially vines looking for something to hook onto.

The Circumnutation Top is constructed using Caron Simply Soft yarn. Alternative yarn works for this pattern as well, but it may not look exactly the same. Washing is recommended before first wear and will change the drape of this yarn. This top should have a few inches of positive ease- if you want a tighter fit, you can size down. If you want a shorter top, you can use the row instructions for a smaller size (or contact the designer for more details on customization!).

Sizes: XXS (XS, S, M, L, XL) (2XL, 3XL, 4XL, 5XL)
Bust sizes: 26" (30”, 34”, 38”, 42”, 46”) (50”, 54”, 58”, 62”)
Ease: positive ease of approx. 3-5" built in on top of bust size (finished garment will measure 3-5" larger than bust size)

Model is 5'7" with a 39" bust wearing size Medium (43" finished garment size)

Emerita Beanie

The Emerita Beanie is a perfect slouchy hat and an easy knit. This hat can be worn with the brim folded for a tighter fit, or with the brim unfolded for a slouchier look.

The Emerita Beanie is constructed using worsted weight yarn, but actually works well with DK yarn, too. The specific yarn you choose may make the final product look somewhat different. Caron Simply Soft is a great, affordable yarn that works well for this pattern.

Erotylus Shawl

The Erotylus Shawl is a wonderfully squishy, cozy shawl. The colorwork is created with mosaic knitting, so only one color is used at a time and the design is created with slipped stitches. The fabric created is warm and thick, with an excellent “squish factor.” This shawl is perfect for everything from lounging on the couch with a book and tea, to a night on the town paired with your fanciest dress.

Pattern uses:
Color A - 3 balls Lion Brand Hue + Me yarn (or approximately 410 yards similar yarn)
Color B - 3 balls Lion Brand Hue + Me yarn (or approximately 300 yards similar yarn)

Finished, blocked shawl measures 55” long by 19” wide. Aggressive blocking can result in a larger finished shawl if desired.

Passiflora Skirt

This knit skirt is incredibly versatile - depending on the yarn you use, it can be perfect for any weather and any activity.

The Passiflora Skirt is constructed using medium, category 4 (aran weight) yarn. Caron Simply Soft or similar yarns make for a great cooler-weather piece, while cotton yarns would make for a great warmer-weather piece. You can customize the length of this skirt to be as short or long as you wish.

Sizes: 14 different sizes for waist measurements from 21" (52 cm) to 53" (135 cm)

Additional materials: this pattern uses waistband elastic to shape the waist. You do not need a sewing machine, but 1.5" waistband elastic (or a different diameter) is required to get the fitted waist pictured.

Model is 5'7" with a 32" waist wearing size 5 (31-32" waist).
